Volunteer in Boston

We rely on the generosity of individual volunteers and organized community groups to help our kitchen team prepare the nutritious food our clients need to improve and maintain their health.

We host 100+ volunteers daily across multiple shifts to make thousands of scratch-made, medically tailored meals. Three three-hour shifts are offered Monday through Friday, beginning at 9 am, 1 pm, and 4 pm.

Kitchen volunteers must be age 13+. All new volunteers receive an orientation from our team before the start of their shift. Required attire includes pants covering the ankles, long-sleeve shirts, and closed-toed shoes. Hairnets and aprons will be provided. (view our dress code flyer)

Please remember that to volunteer with Community Servings, you must:

  • Feel 100% healthy
  • Be free of any symptoms, including a cough, fever, chills, body aches, chest congestion, shortness of breath, nausea/vomiting, or diarrhea.
